I bathed my bischon in this and he usually fights his home baths but this shampoo gave him instant relief and he actually stood still while I worked the lather into his skin. I could tell right away o didn't waste my money. I'm a customer for life. Great product! It smells great too.Stopped my dogs itching killed fleas gave him comfort lathered up real well not strong . I normally give him the flea pill but I can't get to the vet for another 3 weeks so I bought this to give him comfort it was great! I'm looking for a spray for in between baths ??This helps with their itching. My poor pups are miserable to the point that they are chewing their fur off their feet. They aren't having much luck with the meds the vet gave them but this give them a little bit of relief.I am staying with a relative who has cats, and as well it's hotter here, and Bear always has itchy skin when I visit. I tried this shampoo yesterday, adding a bit of baking soda to it as well, and it did make a difference the same day and now this second day. The itching isn't gone but its better. I let it sit on his coat/skin but not for 4 minutes as I didn't have time so results may be better with letting it sit longer. But his coat was shiny and soft and he acted like he felt better after a bath with this Protect Shampoo. I like that it's made with more natural ingredients and no harsh chemicals.One of my dogs has very strong seasonal allergies. While we do get her medicine for them, even then she is sometimes still itchy. I recently used this shampoo on her just to try and get anything off of her skin and coat that might also be aggravating her. I liked using the shampoo. First thing I noticed was that it was free of scents and colors. I never thought of that before with dog shampoo, but it does make sense. Even those advertised for sensitive skin or for calming them usually still have colors and fragrances. I actually washed her twice and the second time it lathered up quite a bit more, so I take that as a good sign that she was very dirty and the first washing took off most of the dirt, thus letting the second wash lather up a lot more. It rinsed out easily and didn't seem to hurt her eyes or any of her spots where she had been itching her skin a lot. Afterwards, while she didn't smell like a flower or whatever scent is in the other shampoos, she didn't smell strongly of wet or dirty dog anymore. Overall, I'm pretty impressed with the shampoo. While it didn't cure her allergies, I do feel like it helped get rid of any built up allergens and helped calm her skin down a bit.I am happy to report that this smells really good. I have used it on our larger dog but not on our puppy just yet. I’m sure the little one will love it.Smells good. I love her very much and have had lots of standards over the years, but they all seem to have sensitive skin. Most dog shampoos work ok, but she is often itchy for days afterwards (and yes we make sure we rinse her very throughly and condition her hair and skin). So using the right shampoo makes all the difference. Recently we had run out of some shampoo we got from a former vet supply rep, but before I went and bought more of it I saw this in my Vine feed and decided to give it a try.Well I am happy to report that it worked beautifully. At least as well as the specialty and even prescription ones we have used in the past. No itching, just a happy clean poodle. I am impressed, genuinely. We will be getting more of this in the future.
