Where everything I have tried previously failed to perform, this product gets it done. No more dandruff. However, the substance itself does not suds up too much so you just have to be a little more aware of where you're applying it to ensure full coverage. It also does not dry out my hair like many other shampoos, so I stopped using conditioner. So for some with more oil prone hair, you may need to wash hair more often throughout the week than before.I had dandruff all my life and after a while head and shoulders no longer worked. I was getting scab like large flakes that would cause me to bleed at times. I went to the dermatologist several times and tried their different methods but they were not working as not only is my scalp dry but my actual hair gets greasy really easily. So I would fight to find something good that not only would grease up my curls but moisturize my scalp. It seems like I got the "new formula/bottle" of this shampoo. Within the first week I noticed a drastic change in my scalp and since then have not had any issues unless it was dead of winter. I do not wash my hair every time with this shampoo and skip a wash every other shower and seem to find this works best for my roots not getting greasy. However, the shaft of my curls are naturally dry and this shampoo will definitely dry them more. I have to use another cleanser when I wash my hair fully for the tips of my hair. Even with this process, it's still worth the purchase to only use this shampoo on my scalp. Smells like older men's shampoo, almost like natural ingredients. I have not found the scent to last after my hair dries.I had so much hope in this product. From all the reviews to friend recommendations: I full hearted believed this would work for me. I went through an entire bottle and this is my honest opinion: don’t waste your money. The smell was horrific, literally a rotten egg smell accompanied my hair after every wash. My hair started thinning out a quarter into the bottle and I thought maybe it was just dead hair since I was still transitioning to nontoxic shampoo. But what I could not get over was how dry and coarse it made my hair while never actually treating the dandruff problem. Overall if I could give this a zero star, I would! I only stuck with it for so long because I truly believed it was going to help my dandruff problem but it only made it worse and is now costing me.Did not receive item pictured. Damaged in shipping. No flakes! It feela so good to not be using Tar shampoo ( t gel) anymore, it was the only thing working and had recently stopped. I read about the smell and was scared. I have had no issues with my short hair. I use a mint tea tree oil conditioner following the shampoo.It has alcohol . Alcohol can dry out your hair if used every day. To soften hair naturally use coconut oil or almond oil . You can buy name brand hair oil products as well . This will lessen the drying of the alcohol.Great ingredients, but this does not later or distribute well throughout scalp so more product is needed per hair wash. The tree tree tingle felt nice, but I have not experienced any reduced dandruff after about 1 month of continued use. Would not order again.
